OFFICE IN THE NEIGHBORING WINDOW
A year-long project about office workers in the windows across the street
As a mother of a toddler, I was spending much time at home. One moment I was intrigued by the windows of an office building nearby.
Every day, I watched as workers filed in and out, moving with purpose and focus through their day-to-day tasks. I began to see patterns in their movements and interactions, and soon I found myself documenting their lives through my lens. I had favorites - a joker, a workaholic who sometimes stayed until morning, and a shy beauty of a secretary.
Over time, I began to recognize each person and their relationships within the office. I saw the way they supported each other, the moments of tension and conflict, and the quiet joys of everyday life. And as I captured these moments in time, I felt a sense of connection to these strangers I had never met.
