SERIES OF PHOTOGRAPHS

UPSIDE DOWN series
A surreal and slightly sarcastic series. Each photograph features different rooms of a typical New England home, but the housewife is turned upside down. Like the antipodes from Lewis Carroll’s tale, flipped in Alice’s eyes when she tumbled into Australia through the rabbit hole.
The model for this series is Irina Vladi, a Russian native who has lived in the U.S. for over 20 years. Throughout these years, she has always felt a bit like an antipode herself.

GLOWING series
The world spins on, indifferent to the madness of men. Governments rise and fall, politicians lose their minds, wars ignite, and terror spreads.
But the Earth remains steadfast. Each morning, it welcomes the sun with quiet grace, its waters shimmering with a light untouched by human folly.
No decree can halt the changing of seasons; no war can delay the thaw. Spring comes, as it always has, as it always will—soft, persistent, and merciful.

TINY PRECIOUS WORLD series
In the dark sky, a star does shine,
It’s yours, my angel, forever thine.
Those who love are loved in turn,
May the star guide you where wonders burn.

There, a fiery-maned lion will meet,
And a blue bull with bright eyes complete,
With them, a golden eagle from the skies,
Whose bright gaze never dies.
